Hi there!

Another quick LO share in between my cleaning. I have been cleaning all day- bathroom, toilet, en suite, bedrooms, living area, doing loads of washing, folding and putting away washing, sorting paperwork- blah! I am about to tackle my scrapping area- again. I'm sure it gets messy all on its own!!! :0)
There was a break in the weather so I ducked outside and took photos of my latest two LOs. It has been raining off and on for days now.

This LO 'One Lucky Duck' is my take on Melissa Goodsell's sketch for Sketches Oz. I loved Melissa's sketch and I was pleased with how my LO turned out. Here is a close up of the little duck!

This LO 'Things You Do' is for Janine Kaye's challenge on Scrap The Girls. The LO is about how Emma leaves little notes around the place for me- on my pillow, on my scrapping table etc- she is just so gorgeous.! I have included some of the notes in the envelope.
The butterfly is a free template that you can get from Martha Stewart's website. Pretty cool huh!! Here is a close up.

Before I get back to my cleaning, here is another yummy recipe. I cooked last night and it was gone in no time!

Quick Malaysian Soup

2 garlic cloves
2 cm piece of ginger
1 onion
1 carrot
1 stick celery
1 tablespoon oil
1-2 cups of chopped cooked or raw chicken
3 cups hot water
2 chicken stock cubes
400g tin tomatoes in juice
1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
¼ cup coconut cream
400g pkt instant noodles
Parsley- chopped.

Crush, peel & chop garlic.
Peel ginger- chop finely.
Peel onion, carrot- cut in 1cm cubes.
Wash and trim celery- cut into 1cm slices.
Heat oil in a large pan.
Saute garlic, ginger, onion, carrot & celery for 5 mins or until onion is clear.
Add chicken, water, crumbed chicken stock cubes, tomatoes in juice, chilli sauce & coconut cream.
Break tomatoes up with a spoon.
Bring to boil.
Reduce heat & simmer for 10 mins.
Add noodles and cook for 2-3 mins or until noodles are cooked.
Serve garnished with parsley.

Thanks for those of you who have sent recipes my way- it is very much appreciated.! :0)

Have a great Sunday.

LO share :0)

OK- here is the LO share I promise during the week. This first LO 'Natural Beauty' is my Aussie scrapjack of Jo Carey's LO called "So Lucky'. Jo's work is so inspirational. In fact, one of my favourite LOs of all time is Jo's LO called 'Sunshine'- a simply stunning LO. Thanks Jo for the inspiration!! :)
This LO 'In Full Bloom' and the next LO '{she}' are DT LOs that I completed for Steph's Scrapbooking- wasn't wrapped with the Dreamworks papers but am pleased with how the LOs turned out!!

This LO 'Friends Forever' is a loose scraplift of Janine Kaye's LO called 'Together'. I loved Janine's LO as soon as I saw it and this is my take on her LO- Thanks Janine- you are a sensational scrapper- in fact I would love to see you as the jackee on Aussie Scrapjack!!!!
This last LO is a 'just because' LO- I love 'just because' LOs :0)
This LO features Doodlebug papers- really bright but funky!! It is hard to see but the circular patterns in the corner of the LO are layered using magic mount!
Anyway- have a WONDERFUL Sunday.

Recipes

Kim sent me an email about a recipe swap. I followed the instructions and emailed off my recipe and then continued the swap by emailing many on you!! If you didn't get an email and want to join in- email me. I will include you as quick as a flash!!

The recipe I sent on was-

Chicken & Broccoli Bake.

Butter
1 onion- chopped
1 broccoli- roughly chopped
1 large can of ‘Cream of Chicken’ soup (or similar)
1/3 cup milk
2 cups cooked cocked- chopped

Topping
Breadcrumbs
Butter- melted
Parmesan cheese
Mix these three ingredients together until you have a crumbly topping.
Grated cheese

Heat butter in pan, add onion, and stir until onion is transparent. Add broccoli, soup, milk and chicken. Mix.
Pour mixture into an oven proof dish. Sprinkle the crumbly topping over the top of the mixture, add grated cheese.

Cook in moderate oven until cooked (about 40 minutes)

Such an easy recipe to prepare and so yummy. Even my kiddos love it!!!
To all the people I emailed, I don't actually get a copy of your recipe as you send your recipe off the Kim- PLEASE SEND IT TO ME TOO!!!!

I am willing to trade! I cooked the most delicious Potato and Leek Soup for dinner tonight- so yummy!!!
Here is the recipe-

3 leeks, sliced finely
1 onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter
4 potatoes, sliced
5 cups chicken stock
sat, pepper, cream

Cook leeks and onions in butter until transparent. Add potatoes, stock and seasoning. Simmer until all vegetables are soft. Blend. Serve and add cream.

We had it with crusty bread- yummo!!!

OK- if anyone reads these recipes and printed them out- leave a recipe in the comments box as a trade- then we can all share. Good idea huh!!! :0)

Have a great Saturday!!!

Heeelllloooooo!!

Well, a heap has happened in the last week so in point form-

*I took Emma to the emergency dept. on Wednesday night with tummy pains- turned out she had an urinary tract infection- she has had a course of antibiotics and is fine now!

*I participated in Erica's online photo shop class on Thursday night- great fun and I'm looking forward to this Thursday's class -hmmm, haven't done my homework yet!

*It was Adam's birthday on Friday- he turned 39. The girls and I bought him an acoustic guitar- he loves it. We had take away from the Noodle House and a Fredo Frog cake- yummo!

*Saturday was the usual- netball and acro for both girls. Saturday night I took Sarah (and Emma) to church as Sarah had to hand in her enrolment form for her upcoming First Holy Communion. After church, I took Sarah and Emma to the basketball. Our district team, The Flames were playing- and they won! My friend Lian took her two girls and our other friend Macca took Grace and Daniel. All in all- a good night.

*Sunday- house work :( DH and I also cleaned and fixed a problem with our wood fire- works beautifully now and the house is toasty warm. :)
Sunday afternoon, I took the girls back to the basketball stadium, to see the netball this time. Our district team, the Coastal Sharks were playing WAIS and won! Great game. Lian was there again with her two girls. Macca was going to bring Grace but as I found out later- their other son Tommy broke his arm again. :(

*Monday- work for me, school for the kiddos. After school, Emma had netball training and Sarah had dancing. That evening I had my own game of netball- we lost by 2 goals but we played with 6 and the other team had 7 players!

SO...
That brings us to today!

I scrapped- YAY! I also won a RAK on Kathie's blog- DOUBLE YAY!!!
I had 3 more LOs accepted for publication- TRIPLE YAY!!! That's been 8 LOs accepted in the past few weeks- woo hoo!

I will upload my LOs that I scrapped today, once I've taken photos of them - probably Thursday as tomorrow is another busy day. School for the kiddos, work for me, netball training for Sarah after school and then tomorrow night I'm taking both girls to see Shrek the Third with the school. It is a school fundraiser.

Busy, busy, busy- story of my life! LOL!!!

Till then- have a great night!

Right now...

I wish someone would find Maddie McCann and return her, unharmed, to her parents.
